The opportunity

Growth was happening to People Ops, not with them.

Headcount had doubled in two years. The team was still running on the system that worked when there were forty people: an ATS, a payroll provider, a benefits broker, and a half-dozen spreadsheets in between.

Hiring slowed. Onboarding got messy. Audit prep ate a quarter of the People team's calendar. They brought us in to build the operating layer the company had grown out from under, without ripping out the systems that already worked.
